A Celebration of Birds in the Garden

A fantastic opportunity for both birders and gardeners alike to re-envision how their back yard can become a vibrant oasis for nature!

In this event, you'll learn how you can use plants to turn your outdoor space into a haven for nature that provides food, shelter, and nesting habitat for birds.

Master Gardener Expert, Kevin Kavagnah will introduce you to native plant gardening techniques and some of the best plants to provide great floral displays while also attracting birds to the garden. You will also learn how your garden can be a live feeder for winter birds and harvest seeds and do winter sowing in order to grow your own plants for next years garden.

Have questions about how your own backyard can support birds? Members of the Grand Erie Master Gardeners will be on hand to explore your personal questions about garden design and native plant selection after the presentation.

There will also be an optional guided walk on the trails surrounding the Birds Canada headquarters led by James Lee from Birds Canada.

We’ll also be serving some anniversary cake to celebrate Project FeederWatch's 40th year.

Registration is required.
