Does Birds Canada accept gifts from Donor-Advised Funds?
Yes, we gratefully accept gifts from Donor-Advised Funds, and there is no minimum grant amount.
Will I receive a charitable tax receipt?
Yes. All eligible donations will receive a charitable tax receipt for income tax purposes.
If you donate online, your receipt will arrive by email shortly after you complete your donation. For other types of donations, receipts are typically issued by mail or email and can take a week or two to arrive.
Who do I contact about my charitable tax receipt?
If you need a copy of your charitable tax receipt, we’re happy to help. Please email us at donations@birdscanada.org or call 1-888-448-2473, and a member of our team will assist you as quickly as possible.
Is it safe to enter my credit card number on the website?
All data on our website is encrypted using software that is in accordance with a PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards)-compliant environment. All data collected is completely secure and sent to a secure server.
How can I make changes to my monthly donation?
You can update, pause, or cancel your monthly gift at any time.

But we also welcome the opportunity to connect you to a specific program or project. In these cases, we establish clear agreements to ensure that the funds are used for the intended purpose. Should the original project no longer be viable, we will ensure the funds are redirected to ensure we meet the original intention as closely as possible.
