Webinar: Mastering NatureCounts for Impact Assessment

Two people using NatureCounts on a computer.

Environmental Impact Assessment is an essential process for development and land-use planning. It often relies on on-the-ground surveys to detect wildlife on a study site, but this neglects the massive body of data that already exists. That’s where NatureCounts comes in.

NatureCounts hosts over 380 million bird and biodiversity records from all across Canada, most of which are freely available for use in Impact Assessment. In this webinar, we’ll cover exactly what data you can find in NatureCounts, and how you can access and use it for impact assessment. This body of data is an invaluable complement to field surveys, providing the most complete picture of the birds that occupy a site.

This webinar, just like the data and tools in NatureCounts, is completely free.
