One of the ways we give back to you is through BirdWatch Canada, our quarterly members’ magazine. Speaking on behalf of the editorial team, it is a huge privilege for us to report on the impacts we are all making for birds together.

Many Birdathon participants who would have normally gone out during spring migration have chosen to do their Birdathon in fall this year instead. Included in that category are some of our staff here at Birds Canada.

Gus was known widely as one of the most important and influential naturalists in Canada and helped establish the organization that would later become the Nature Conservancy of Canada. The Great Canadian Birdathon is a fantastic way to raise the funds needed to advance bird research, awareness, and conservation. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Great Canadian Birdathon, which is normally held in May each year, has been extended through to the end of the year allowing participants to choose a time that best suits their situation.
