Join us in creating our 2023 calendar in celebration of Canada’s birds! We invite photographers from across the country to submit their artwork. Whether you are an amateur, a professional, or a young person who has just encountered your spark bird, we would love to see your photos!
Grab your camera and share the birds you see in your backyard, favourite birding location, or while participating in one of Birds Canada’s Citizen Science volunteer projects.
The 2023 Calendar Photo Contest runs June 1 until July 31, 2022. Selected photos will be featured in the 2023 Calendar, and each featured photographer will receive three copies of the calendar and have their photos enjoyed by thousands of bird enthusiasts throughout Canada.
We aim to showcase a wide variety of species, habitats, and locations across the country to celebrate the diversity of Canada’s birds. And this year, we’re introducing new photo categories to highlight our programs and some young photographers. We are looking for photographs from the following categories:
- Birds in action
- Groups of birds (multi-species and single species)
- Female birds
- Photo by a Young Photographer (Under 19)
