After a long period of preparation and anticipation, the 27th International Ornithological Congress and first-ever Vancouver International Bird Festival took place in Vancouver from August 19-26. Together, these events represented a formidable success for birds, ornithology, and conservation! Bird Studies Canada was proud to bring these events to life as a Co-host of the congress and Community Partner of the bird festival.
It’s finally here! The first-ever Vancouver International Bird Festival kicks off August 19. If you’re in the area, come out and celebrate birds through art, poetry, comedy, roundtable discussions, talks, birding events, and more. There will be something for bird nerds and bird newbies of all ages.
Next month, scientists from Bird Studies Canada will meet with fellow experts from around the globe at the 27th International Ornithological Congress in Vancouver. With roughly 2000 delegates from around 100 countries expected to attend, this promises to be one of the biggest-ever meetings of the world’s bird researchers!
With only three months to go, momentum for the 27th International Ornithological Congress is ramping up. The Congress will take place in Vancouver from August 19-26. Early indications suggest that this enriching learning experience will be extremely well attended.
