2019 Red List Update: a Canadian perspective on the global report card
Each year, the global extinction risk to all bird species is assessed by BirdLife International, the official Red List Authority for birds for The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. The 2019 update was released in December 2019.

Ups and Downs in the Atlantic Piping Plover “Mating Scene”
Volunteers and staff with the New Brunswick and Nova Scotia Piping Plover Conservation Program survey over 50 beaches at regular intervals throughout the spring and summer each year. Together in 2019, we conducted over 600 beach surveys!
