Registration is open for the 2017 Great Canadian Birdathon. Sign up now and join the thousands of birders and supporters giving birds a boost! Last year’s Birdathon raised over $226,000 for conservation efforts across Canada, thanks to individuals like you.
Getting involved is easy: simply register, ask your friends and family to support your effort, choose any day in May, and go birding.
As a participant, you are entitled to receive the limited edition Great Canadian Birdathon t-shirt featuring the creative stylings of Paul Riss. Now available in men’s or women’s sizes!
You also have the chance to win some really great prizes. The 2017 Grand Prize is an all-inclusive guided tour in Costa Rica, Central Mexico, or the Canadian Rockies. Others include binoculars, spotting scopes, and a year’s supply of bird food! All prizes are courtesy of our wonderful Great Canadian Birdathon sponsors: Armstrong Bird Food, Eagle-Eye Tours, Eagle Optics Canada, Kowa, and Vortex Canada.
Whether or not you take home a prize, you can enjoy a day of birding with the knowledge that Canada’s birds will be the real winners. Birdathon proceeds support research and conservation projects across Canada through the Baillie Fund. Read a recent article by Baillie Fund Secretary Andrew Coughlan for examples of the great work funded so far.
Let’s keep making a difference for Canada’s birds. Register for the 2017 Birdathon or pledge your support today!
