Tobi Muniru

Key Biodiversity Area Technician

I always enjoy the natural spaces of my small town in Nigeria. The shrinking of our serene spaces drew me into conservation science, and since then, I have gained a Master’s degree in Sustainable forest management. I have worked locally to collect and analyze data to support biodiversity in the forest industry. I have worked in local advocacy to improve conservation policies. Now, I work in a great team supporting the transition of Canada’s Important Bird and Biodiversity Areas (IBA) into globally and nationally significant Key Biodiversity Areas (KBA)!
