Gabriel Evans-Cook
Ontario Aerial Insectivore Program Biologist
Growing up in Toronto, I always loved wildlife, but it wasn’t until leaving home for university that I realized the sheer biodiversity Canada possesses and began transforming that passion into a career dedicated to species at risk conservation and stewardship. Over the years, I have contributed to a variety of herpetology and ornithology projects, leading field surveys, engaging stakeholders, and developing outreach initiatives to conserve species at risk. In my role as an aerial insectivore biologist with Birds Canada, I've had the privilege of working across Ontario, tackling complex conservation challenges, and connecting with a variety of communities while protecting some of the country’s most at-risk and charismatic bird species.
