11 December 2019 – In June 2019, we sold our house, quit our jobs, and began walking 24,000 km across Canada along The Great Trail. Fewer people have completed this undertaking on foot than have gone to the moon.

Cross-Canada Hike Goes from Dream to Reality

Walking Across Canada in the Name of Bird Conservation

25 February 2019 – Dr. Sonya Richmond, a geographic information system analyst with Bird Studies Canada, has a passion for conservation. This passion has led her to sell her house and put her career on hold to spend three years walking The Great Trail (formerly the Trans Canada Trail) with her hiking partner, Sean Morton.
