Ruth Friendship-Keller
Director, Communications
I always enjoyed seeing Barn Swallows, Goldfinches and Red-winged Blackbirds on the farm where I grew up. My hope is to help Birds Canada keep common birds common by engaging more people in the work of conserving wild birds of Canada. I joined the Birds Canada team in 2018 and am thoroughly enjoying working with this group of smart, passionate, and dedicated people. My background is in agriculture and horticulture, and I hold undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Guelph. I’ve worked in provincial government, not-for-profit, and charitable organizations.
