McGill Bird Observatory - Green Baillie Birdathon, May 11, 2013 (rain date May 12)
Join us for our MBO Birdathon Day on Saturday, May 11. As has been the case since 2008, this is a 'green' endeavour, in that once everyone gathers at MBO, all the birding will be done on foot (or perhaps in part by bike; details to be worked out among participants). We will start at MBO, move on through the Morgan Arboretum, and then possibly continue on to other nearby areas. Experts and beginners are equally welcome. May is a great opportunity to learn about birds for the first time, or to brush up on the songs and plumage of species that are just returning. Select this link to learn more.

Each day throughout the festival, Prince Edward Point Bird Observatory volunteers will offer guided bird walks and banding demonstrations. Bird-friendly coffee and refreshments will be served in the Hospitality Tent. Official opening of the Festival takes place Saturday, May 11 at 10 a.m. at the observatory. Families, beginners, seasoned birders - come out and celebrate the return of our avian friends. Select this link for more information, or email Cheryl Anderson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
