BirdLife Releases 2014 Red List Update
The conservation status of 361 newly-recognized bird species has been assessed for the first time by BirdLife International as part of the 2014 Red List update for birds. This years Red List update recognizes 10,425 bird species in total, with a new high of 213 bird species classified as Critically Endangered (the highest category of extinction risk).    Read more...
